Welcome to Chloe's
A lovely place to eat and drink
A very warm welcome to Chloe’s.

We are a small, friendly eatery and bottle shop in the heart of Charlbury, a small (but we think perfectly-formed) market town in West Oxfordshire.
Chloe’s was born out of a love of seasonal food, community and hospitality.

"i started Chloe’s because I wanted to create an environment that would buoy people: the tables are close (so you could end up meeting your neighbours), the food is casual, moorish and made to share, the staff are up-beat and enjoy being at work, the drinks are delicious and sometimes curiously so. With so much in The Cotswolds becoming a bit Hague Blue, we wanted to inject some much-needed colour and personality."

We open for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays only serving local, seasonal small plates as fixed price Set-Menu. We use our weekly vegetable supplies (see more on Our Suppliers page) as a spring-board for our weekly changing menu, we’re veg-forward (but not vegetarian). Some plates remain static for a few weeks, others will change weekly. We post the menu each week on Instagram and the much loved local forum

We have a wonderful bunch of passionate, strong people working at Chloe’s and although there are some lovely men in our team, women are front-and-centre of what we do.
Women are under-represented in the hospitality sector and this is often because the hours are unsociable and don’t work alongside home-life. Essentially we have unusual opening hours to facilitate the best bunch working with us, and allow time for the pursuit of their other interests whether that be art, studies, self-employment, families or a combination. Our lovely team are interested (and interesting), we love to get to know more about you. Whilst we totally respect that all you might want to do is order a coffee, we’re also happy to veer off course and chew the fat.

Drinks-wise our bottle shop has an extensive natural and local wine collection, local beers, ales and ciders as well as some delicious softs and house-made cocktails, cordials and Missing Bean Coffee.

Our dining space used to be the garage of a shop in Alder House, Market Street and seats up to 36 (the building has previously been a bookshop, butchers and a toy and wool shop). In the summer we open the old garage doors and it has a lovely inside-out feel to it. Bookings are advised, but walk-ins are always welcome.

This space also houses our Saturday night pop-ups (anything traditional Italian four course feasts to sushi, Mexican-inspired, wine tasting & food pairing). Tickets and info for forthcoming events can be found on our events page.

A Word on tips/TRONC - Chloe’s staff receive 100% of all tips given by you, regardless of whether in cash or on card. We also do not put a service charge on our bills - what you add is at your discretion.

Chloe’s is available for Private Hire for dinners or drinks on Saturdays. Please email us with some information about your event and we’ll get back to you.
